The Delta Pi Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity at Georgia Southwestern State University was
awarded the 2011 William B. King Award for Most Outstanding Fraternity (IFC) at GSW.

Since our inception, Chi Phi has maintained the highest G.P.A. of all IFC (Inter-Fraternity
Conference) fraternities here at GSW. We have been recognized year after year by our national
fraternity for our level of excellence. Our chapter has received Chi Phi’s Thomas A. Gehring Chapter
Excellence Award 9 times, E. Bates Block Campus Involvement Award 6 times, Chi Phi’s Philanthropic
Achievement Award 6 times, Outstanding Service to the Boys & Girls Clubs award 4 times and has had
4 brothers receive the prestigious Carl J. Gladfelter Award for Most Outstanding Graduating Senior
member. Nationally, GSW is well known among all Chi Phi chapters.
Locally, Chi Phi has received GSW’s William B. King Award for Most Outstanding Fraternity 3 times. Chi
Phi consistently has members on GSW’s Orientation Team, Zephyrs, Student Government and Campus
Activities Board. Chi Phi also raises $8,000-$10,000 per year for their fundraising and philanthropic
causes. Chi Phi’s philanthropic causes include Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the American Cancer
Society’s Relay for Life.
